Description
This is a lovely motet by Orlandus de Lassus that can be played or sung or sung with instruments doubling on the voices. Three instruments such as flute-viola-cello or oboe-viola-bassoon or flute-violin-cello make a good sound together. The music can be sung by three voices: Soprano - Alto - Bass either in a chorus or as soloists. Instruments can perform the music as an instrumental piece or as doubling for the voices. A keyboard accompaniment is provided for rehearsal. This particular motet is not often found on the internet, I have received the music through a former singer of the Papal Academy of Music in Rome.
