Description
A two part setting for voices, soloists or choral ensemble, or 2 instruments such as Flute and Violin, with keyboard accompaniment (piano - organ - electronic keyboard) or strings of an Ave Maria. This melody is often mistakenly attributed to the Renaissance composer Giulio Caccini. I don't know why this has happened, but the melody is by the Russian composer Nikolaj Ivanovic Vavilov (1887-1943). This was a request for our singers for an important wedding ceremony by an English couple to be wed shortly in Italy.
