Description
This is a performing edition for 3 upper voices (soloists or choral ensemble) of the three Agnus Dei (including the Dona Nobis Pacem) from the Renaissance Mass Beatae Mariae Virginis by Giuliano Buonaugurio da Tivoli who died in 1569. This Italian Renaissance composer was very prolific, he wrote many instrumental and vocal works for Church services and Festive occasions.
The present arrangement includes an Organ part than fills out the harmonies of the vocal music. A keyboard or piano can be substituted. The music can be performed a cappella - with accompanying Organ - or with Organ and Wind and/or String instruments doubling the vocal parts. It is a piece for lovers of Early Music.
Agnus Dei is often played during Communion, at Vespers and at Funerals. This music can also be included in a Concert Program, for singers or for instrumentalists.
